Karen is available to inspire young readers and ignite creativity in the classroom.
Karen can come to your school, bookstore, or library to read the book
and provide teaching materials and activities.
Preschoolers will listen to the nature soundtrack, hear the story, and be able to be creative with an activity sheet the artist provides.
Ages 4 to 6 will listen to the nature soundtrack, hear the story, enjoy a lesson about fireflies and nocturnal and diurnal animals, and be able to be creative with an activity sheet the artist provides.
Ages 7 to 10 will listen to the nature soundtrack, hear the story, enjoy a lesson about fireflies and nocturnal and diurnal animals, or a lesson about creativity and writing. Activity sheets are also available.
Science: learn about fireflies and nocturnal and diurnal animals.
Art: talk about creativity and the art in the book. Design together.
Language Arts: Learn about poetry, writing, and creativity.
Music: Define lullaby, symphony, baritone. Divide the kids into groups and create our own nature song.
